Writing Aviator provides some of the most engaging and well-designed teacher materials and assessments available.

Students read and analyze famous authors’ texts and work with examples from a variety of genres. Class books of mentor texts are required in K–5. At the secondary level, lessons require handbooks (Student Readers) that contain mentor texts. Classroom libraries are also an essential part of the course.

Rubric Books (K–5) explain the characteristics of effective writing in specific genres and include sample rubrics for formative assessments.
