The Challenge

• When Waianae Elementary School examined its results on the Hawaii State Assessment, it knew that many students had difficulty with critical math topics, such as addition and subtraction.

The Solution

• The school selected Mathematics Navigator to address identified students’ needs with a targeted intervention.

The Results

• In twenty days, students achieved statistically significant gains—nearly doubling their pre- to post-test results—as exemplified in the Mathematics Navigator module below.
