Melissa Herring, Tylertown, MS, discusses the Navigator Student Edition.
Two elementary students from Tylertown, MS, discuss how they use the Study Cards.
Mathematics Navigator modules engage students in mathematics and help them succeed in their on-grade classes. Because students take only those modules they need, they are neither bored by repeating something they already know nor frustrated because the work is too difficult. Placement in the Mathematics Navigator modules is scaffolded so students build their skills and understanding one level at a time.
For each module, students receive:
A consumable Student Book that describes in detail the mathematics the students should learn. Each module has a clear focus on specific skills, problem-solving strategies, and math concepts.
Study Cards to reinforce concepts, procedures, and skills (elementary modules).
Task Books: to be used in small groups on math activities (secondary modules).
A Concept Book, a powerful reference tool that describes and explains visually the key math concepts that students should learn to be successful in algebra and beyond (secondary modules)
