Learning Is Focused on Topics Essential for Success

Ramp-Up covers concepts essential to success in algebra. These concepts are integrated into a stronger more connected mathematical foundation, creating deep and lasting knowledge. Ramp-Up Mathematics features two targeted programs.

Ramp-Up to Pre-Algebra Is designed to accelerate the learning of 6th- and 7th-grade students who are two or more years behind their peers. It prepares them to complete Algebra 1 by the end of 8th grade. It consists of eight units, including

  • Unit 1: Foundations of Algebra
  • Unit 2: Numbers and the Number Line
  • Unit 3: Decimals and Percents
  • Unit 4: Geometric Measure
  • Unit 5: Multiples and Factors
  • Unit 6: Operations with Fractions
  • Unit 7: Data and Negatives
  • Unit 8: Ratio and Graphs

Ramp-Up to Algebra prepares middle or high school students who are not ready for Algebra 1 as they enter 7th to 9th grade to successfully complete Algebra 1 the following year. It consists of eight units, including
