Learning Is Focused on Topics Essential for Success
Ramp-Up covers concepts essential to success in algebra. These concepts are integrated into a stronger more connected mathematical foundation, creating deep and lasting knowledge. Ramp-Up Mathematics features two targeted programs.
Ramp-Up to Pre-Algebra Is designed to accelerate the learning of 6th- and 7th-grade students who are two or more years behind their peers. It prepares them to complete Algebra 1 by the end of 8th grade. It consists of eight units, including
- Unit 1: Foundations of Algebra
- Unit 2: Numbers and the Number Line
- Unit 3: Decimals and Percents
- Unit 4: Geometric Measure
- Unit 5: Multiples and Factors
- Unit 6: Operations with Fractions
- Unit 7: Data and Negatives
- Unit 8: Ratio and Graphs
Ramp-Up to Algebra prepares middle or high school students who are not ready for Algebra 1 as they enter 7th to 9th grade to successfully complete Algebra 1 the following year. It consists of eight units, including
- Unit 1: Foundations of Algebra
- Unit 2: The Number System
- Unit 3: Geometry and Measure
- Unit 4: Factors and Fractions
- Unit 5: Data and Negatives
- Unit 6: Ratio and Proportionality
- Unit 7: Showing Relationships with Graphs
- Unit 8: Using Equations to Solve Problems
