Ramp-Up gives students a real opportunity not only to master the basics of reading, but to leap forward to the college preparation curriculum.
Ramp-Up Literacy:
- Correlated to Florida Reading Specifications and Sunshine State Standards
- Provides 90 minutes of daily instruction
- Teaches phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing explicitly
- Establishes classroom practices to engage striving readers in school, provide more instructional time, and help teachers differentiate instruction
- Responds to the needs of ELLs and special needs students
- Supports teachers with high-quality professional development, a yearlong curriculum and powerful assessment tools
- Leads to sustained results, including increased student achievement, reduced dropout rates, and higher graduation rates
