The article, Fast Track to Literacy by Thomas Guskey, Marco Muñoz, and Jennifer Aberli, examines the effectiveness of Ramp-Up in accelerating the literacy skills of struggling high school students. Crown Point, NY - The Press Republican reports that New York State has named Crown Point Central School a High Performing/Gap Closing District. Superintendent Shari Brannock was quoted as saying, "In the past, we had a
designation of needing improvement. We've been off that designation for

high-performing school districts. It's wonderful and terrific. We're
