Aligning classroom instruction to state standards is critical to moving all students to higher performance levels. Using the America’s Choice design, teachers learn to focus instruction on student needs, moving students from where they are to where they need to be.
Working with the foremost researchers and practitioners in the U.S. and abroad, we created powerful intervention programs in literacy and mathematics that are aligned to state standards and assessments. Our tiered approach to instruction helps students at varying performance levels, including 1) those who are on-grade, 2) those who need short-term interventions to be successful in the regular classroom, and 3) those who require more intensive intervention to accelerate their learning.
In science, the America’s Choice School Design provides professional development and technical assistance for teachers to align curriculum and instruction with state standards and assessments and use their adopted materials to plan targeted and engaging instruction.
The America’s Choice School Design embeds schoolwide initiatives into instructional programs, including classroom management structures, to keep students on task, to support differentiated instruction, and to develop students as independent learners.
